Dwarf Fortress' Adventure Mode is now available, allowing players to explore their own created world and interact with fascinating creatures. The mode builds on the graphical version of Dwarf Fortress and offers a hardcore CRPG experience with detailed inventory, turn-based combat, and complex interactions with NPCs. The game emphasizes the simulation aspect, with NPCs only knowing what they are capable of knowing, and players can ask about quests and receive unpredictable responses. Adventure Mode adds a sense of impermanence as players enter their maps after the ruination of their fortress. The beta version is now available on Steam.
